Birdr identifies the birds you encounter and turns birding into a collection. Snap a photo, capture 12 seconds of song, or do both — cross-checked AI identifies the species, saves it to your Life List, and shows you what's worth chasing next.

How it works

Tap the round camera button. Point at a bird. Tap to capture. The default mode grabs a photo AND 12 seconds of audio at the same time — both signals get cross-checked against AI models for the most accurate ID. Audio mode runs entirely on-device, so your recordings never leave your phone.

Real rarity, region-aware

Every species is tiered Common, Uncommon, Rare, Epic, Legendary, or Mythic. The tiers come from actual eBird checklist frequency data for your region: a Painted Bunting that's rare in Texas can be epic in Pennsylvania. Travel and the catches you make there might be rares you'd never get at home.

Mythic is reserved for eight species worldwide — extinct, near-extinct, and once-in-a-lifetime catches.

Privacy first
